A Choice of Two Pedagogical Fields of Concentration

Courses preparing students for post-secondary studies are grouped into two fields of concentration or specializations and comply with the ministère de l'Éducation, du Loisir et du Sport du Québec (MELS) (Quebec Ministry of Education, Leisure and Sports) requirements. The basic program is enhanced with the student's choice of one of two pedagogical options available: Sports and Nature, and International: Languages and Cultures.

Sports and Nature

The Sports and Nature option will interest students who wish to integrate certain sports such as alpine skiing, cross-country skiing, road or mountain biking, golf, tennis and rowing into their learning programs. High performing students have the option to choose this truly integrated sports-and-studies program.

Languages and Cultures

The Languages and Cultures option is intended for those students wanting to improve their knowledge of languages and cultures. This option integrates the enhancement of French, English as a second language, and the learning of a third language. It focuses on the familiarization with cultures, literature, history and geography, and also promotes cultural exchanges through virtual communications projects or travelling. In addition this option is offered as an integrated arts-and-studies program for qualifying students. In addition to the two suggested options, students can choose the one leading to IBO (International Baccalaureate Organization) High School Program Certification.
